And he approves. Of the chair. And the view.
It’s not quite the finale blog as I am currently rendering out a batch of material (which will be online this weekend!). So what is left to come? Read on below. Continue reading ‘Kaos TV the final blog’

Here is his first gig @ DreamHack Summer 2010. Now nicely cut so you can start at the beginning and end at the end
!

Next time, when your going with us to DreamHack, make sure you put your computer in it’s original package. If not, this can happen…
Luckily i’m insured…

For those at DreamHack who are too young to play games there is a daycare center!
Yes a daycare center where the kids can play! So you can see there is something for everyone here at Dreamhack

Most cheating counterstrikers are put in the confines, but can leave pretty quickly. They do all smoke though…
Normally when you visit a lanparty the main activity involves gaming.. Only DreamHack is so impressive that you don’t even have enough time to play games.. Everything that happens here is so overwhelming that you can’t get enough of it. Last night one of our group had the chance to DJ one hour long at the DreamHack main stage, so you go there and watch the set.. While doing so you notice that it is still light outside at 4 am, so you go outside to take a look.. Then you notice that you get hungry and get some food in one of the far to many food stands..
Where is the time to play games? Maybe next time when you get used to an event of this magnitude? Nah.. I Don’t think that I will ever get used to an event like this.
It sure is a unique event that you should at least experience once in your life

So. Normally. When it’s 3 ‘o clock in the morning. It’s dark outside. Not in Sweden. This picture was taken at 3 am in the morning.
What. The. Fuck.
Stefan did find a solution:

The shoutcast of Kaos CS1.6 vs MYM and Na’Vi turned out to be quite a stunner. Gaining over 2000 views in a few hours time. Thanks to all those watching! The competition for our CS1.6 team has however sadly ended. Continue reading ‘Kaos CS1.6 matches and more to shoutcast’
So we had a nice night up the press area. Sadly enough we weren’t allowed to sleep there which is understandable but it was good while it lasted.
The streaming set had to move which we are in the process of doing as we speak. All gear back down into the e-sports area to catch some of the ambiance.

One of our Packers was a volunteer at The-Party 8 and he has written a blog about it! Here it is.

The week before The-Party 8 has been a hectic for all the volunteers of The Party 8.
From the organization to network specialists, they worked there ass off to get everything done in time. For the competition admins it wasn’t different. Not only did the competition admins lead their competitions, some of them were helping to set up the stage for the finals of Counterstrike 1.6, Fifa10 and Unreal Tournament 2004 instagib. Others got their emergency first responders certificate in just 5 hours, congratulations to all of them!
To build a stable stage for 10 heavy game pc’s sponsored by Azerty, is a hell of a job with just some old fabric tiles and duct tape. With a group of 10 volunteers we successfully build this stage. After we built the stage, we needed to dress the stage with tables and, of course, the 10 game pc’s. This wasn’t the hardest part of building this stage at The Party 8, no, installing game pc’s by cloning the hard disks was the hardest part of completing this stage. When they were finally successfully installed, up and running around Saturday afternoon, just hours before the first final started.
I want to thank one of the competition admins specifically for making that happen, he took care of this, relative easy job to fix, but in the end it was just a pain in the ass. All the volunteers who helped building the stage, thank you! Without these amazing volunteers, there would be no on-stage finales this year! For now I congratulate all the winners of the competitions from The Party 8, I want to thank DUH-Events for setting up another great LAN-party, and last but not least, I want to thank all of the competition admins for their great job with all the competitions they organized.
The great thing about Intel’s Pack4DreamHack is that all attendees get a nice hoodie when they go to DreamHack with us. Over the years we’ve had about 100 people getting such a hoodie and by now they can be spotted at almost every major gaming event in the Netherlands. And when a MacDonalds is in the neigbourhood of said gamingevent, you find this:
