It won’t be long for our new design to be ready. And offcourse it wil be the DreamHack Winter 2010 theme. For those of you that didn’t know yet:

Back in 2008 we went to DreamHack Winter with a small dutch team and the german e-sports team known as ‘mousesports’

Two days ago we got the news that one of the mousesports guys that went with us to DreamHack Winter 2008 has passed away. While driving to the Frankfurt Airport to travel to the Intel Extreme Masters in Shanghai Antonio “Cyx” Daniloski got into a carcrash. For more on this: here.

We at the Pack4DreamHack team mourn this loss, rest in peace fellow packer!

554 people gave us answers to the questions in our raffle form. Of those 554 people 269 answered one of the first four questions wrong. Pretty amazing seeing that all the questions could be answered correctly with a little help of Google.

With 285 people still in de race for the big price 207 people guessed a number that was too high. Some even thought we would hit over 1.000.000 visits in 4 days, that would’ve been cool, but that’s a sick high number.

73 people weren’t as optimistic as the rest, with an all time low of just 80 visitors (we’re giving away an 1849 euro gaming machine, we are bound to have more then 80 visits!).

For those calculated there are 4 people left. Indeed, 4 people gave exactly the same answer. 2500 visits. How do we get to a winner when 4 people give us the exact same answer? We can’t divide the computer in 4 pieces. The only thing that is correct to choose from one of those four is to choose the one that was fastest. So we celebrate mister:

With still more to come this is however the ‘closing’ episode in which we get the closing statements of our interviewers, some random interviews with swedish people and some nice shots from the ride back.

Everyone agrees, Pack4DreamHack is the event you NOT want to miss in your lifetime!

We don’t know what the chicken does at DreamHack. We only know we have seen him before. And that he met Hance.

Anyhow, here goes the english version of the blogpost I wrote on Kaosgaming earlier this week.

Well well…that’s it again people. Dreamhack is done, sad but true. I left Sweden with sweet memories once again. Dreamhack still remains the best gaming event to date, combining fun, competion and entertainment into one wholesale jacket…I love it. As we expected it was another marathon for us with Kaos TV, working around the clock and still have enough material to cost me 4 days extra work .

Kaos TV wishes to thank all communities that assisted us in accomplishing such another succesful dreamhack. Props go out to bescene.net and gamelux.nl but not to forget tek-9, cadred and whomever I missed. We can’t forget to thank Timon and Erik or assisting us with a few shoutcasts! And ofcourse our own CS1.6 with predominantly Eric ’slaYn’ that gave us an extra edge on shoutcasting that is somewhat unprecendented in benelux e-sports…cheers bud! And last but not least a clappy the clap for Rene liQuid^moTion whom proved his worth to Kaos TV in his first trial by fire .

And for who thought my props are done…not yet . Rob and Stefan need a thank you and I need to specially thank Rob for saving my ass with the broken i.Link cable and trusting our methods . All people behind Intel pack4dreamhack can give themselves a well deserved pat on the back, Kurt included .

Ofcourse we need to thank YOU the viewer as well. We have managed to obtained a nicely reached 23.000 viewers so far which will be growing more once the new video’s are out. Your views give us the motivation to go on. Thanks to your views and the dreamhack success we have even decided to make another 16.000 euro investment into more broadcasting gear that will further up our quality and availability to another level.

So, as told before, the end of this competition already has come and gone. Your entry had to be in before 23:59 on the 22nd! More then 554 people reacted to our competition, so we think it’s a big success!

Since so many people reacted it will take us some time to find the winner of this competition, however we wanted to give you the final answer to the last question we asked.

The winner will be announced next week!

We’re back in the beautiful country that is Netherlands. We can drink beers again on our LAN party’s and can smoke again without being put in a small jail. Woohoo!

So while DJ Hance’s set yesterday was pretty amazing he himself wasn’t satisfied. So we arranged that he could play another set at DreamHack Summer, this time as the last performing artist on DHS2010…

Hance came, he saw and he conquered.. the public went crazyyyyy!

Where is the time to play games? Maybe next time when you get used to an event of this magnitude? Nah.. I Don’t think that I will ever get used to an event like this.

It has sadly taken some time but it’s finally arrived. Episode 1 of Kaos TV at intel pack4dreamhack summer 2010. The first episode covering all the crazy shit that happened during the trip.

We are a tad late due to a number of reasons. First of all we had a faulty i.Link cable. Thanks to the manager of aAa we were able to borrow a working i.Link to start with our footage rendering. That said…thanks go out to Soepkip for arranging the cable for us .

The second reason is the unexpected success of our livestreams. Hitting over 8000 views and covering teams like SK, MYM, mTW, antwerp aces, Na’Vi, Fnatic and ofcourse our own Kaos the streams where well visited from the entire Benelux. Thanks go out to all those viewers!

I would also like to thank liQuid^moTion, slaYn, Timon and Demu for shoutcasting.

So when Hance decided to bring his little brother we certainly were worried. Hance was cool, but is a bit hyperactive.
Max turned out to be a pretty cool dude. But it took us a day before we found his real function. We send Max out in the field, zoom in on the girls behind him and shoot a picture. Why? Well when you approach girls here they either run away or show their ‘Fuck you’ sign.

With an expected loss against Na’Vi our team team sadly could not perform against MYM. Also the BYOC qualifier Anytime proved to much today. Sad but true enough it shows that at this Pro level there is no room for bad days. Where they were certain to have played a good match on any good chosen day…it seems today wasn’t that day.

On another note the first few Kaos TV at Intel Pack4dreamhack are being produced as we speak.

We spent till 3am last night to shoutcast the SK vs MYM which SK ended up winning. Scoring 2350 views in one night goes without saying that the shoutcasting was succesful. As such I want to announce that we are back live in 30 minutes of setup. We will shoutcast Kaos vs Na’Vi live, with player shots as we are stationed RIGHT behind them.

Stefan hijacked some hotel room for a wild party at the Scandic
Our KAOS 1.6 team decided to go sleeping in the VIP/Press Area and had a great nights rest. Too bad it caused a bit of a problem for the Press in the morning. But we’ll only remember the good times in a while.
