As you may have seen in the previous videos and posts, this is my first time here in the beautiful Sweden. I have never attended any Lanparty’s, but Intel Pack4DreamHack is an awesome experience so far. Even the sixteen hour bus trip turned out to be great and went faster than I expected. I’ve slept most of the time, because I had two chairs where I could lie down on.

I was very surprised when we entered the big Elmia halls. It was huge and this was only one of the four halls. I continued walking and installed my equipment at my spot. Just behind my internship supervisor; Jeroen, accompanied by Luc Marc and Kimberley.

What have I done so far? Well, I let all the DreamHackers know where you can find the Dutch people. I hang up orange flags all over the place, so that all the people can feel the Dutch vibe over here. After that I was playing my favourite game and the time passed by very quickly. We went out for dinner with a couple of people and enjoyed our meal. Except for me, I ordered the worst burger you can even imagine, but no worries. I still had a lot of candy left from the bus trip, so that wasn’t terrible at all.

In the evening I was watching my favourite TV show: Two and a Half Men. People know me as a house music lover, but hardstyle is a music genre that I like very much as well. I heard that Adrenalize would perform that night, so I decided to check it out with two people I met in the bus. Wow, it was amazing! Not only the music, but also the very cool lasers and the weird Swedish people. It’s all so different than in the Netherlands. Mellbourne shuffle is well known here in Sweden. It was awesome to see this kind of dancing in the crowd. At around 1:30 AM we decided to leave the main stage and tried talking to the nice ladies in hall B (our hall). That didn’t turned out like the way we thought it would be. Most of them were very shy. Despite that, we met some weird Swedish guys that wrapped a man in tape and tried to sell him… lol.

I decided to call it a night and went back to our little smurf house. On the way home I was very shocked to see that it was already getting light. I normally am used to this in the Netherlands after I went out with my friends, but I have never seen it around 2:00 AM.

I woke up pretty early today and bought some breakfast for my roomies. Furthermore, I’ve made some videos and checked out the new Game of Thrones episode. Damn, this episode almost made me cry.  I am enjoying DreamHack very much and I am excited to see what tomorrow will bring.
