Blog Post #4: Too excited for DreamHack!

Published on November 22nd, 2009

YESSSS….only a couple of days left. I am currently fidgeting of anxiety like a kid waiting in class for the last hour of school to finish until the weekend.

So I was supposed to sleep over at a friends house on Tuesday evening, in Utrecht, so we could take the bus to Jonkoping together in the morning (Utrecht is one of the stops of the bus that you can cheaply take thanks to Pack4Dreamhack.nl and takes you right in front of the door of the event.). However, it turns out I will get a ride to Venlo instead, on Wednesday itself, which is closer and easier for me.

Then the approximate 20 hour bus ride from the NL to Sweden. I’m looking forward to it a lot, I know it’s going to be exciting, long, but never the less exciting. The Dutch always know how to party and a 20 hour bus ride filled with gamers sounds like a perfect excuse to party, in my ears.

Apparently we also get t-shirts or something? I’m not sure. It’s always nice to have a souvenir at least! I know I always use all my old team shirts as pyjamas :p Indeed, Radical, one of NiP’s old managers, had a big NiP shirt which he lend to me back at ESWC..05?06? I can’t remember. And I kinda never returned it by accident and now use it as pyjama because the Tshirt is SO big for me >_<. I also have some old SK t-shirts from back in 2003/4 with the old Intel sponsors on them which are actually still pretty nice looking and comfortable!

Anyway, as a round up, I love Sweden like a fat kid loves cake. So, being able to join one of the biggest LAN of the world in one of the nicest countries in the world is just like an overdose of sugar on Christmas’ eve. A must. I can’t believe it was so cheap to go their either! Simply amazing. Two thumbs up for P4DH, Duh events, Intel and Asus for making this happen. Oh, and for the Benelux for being so welcoming to poor lost me <3

Oh, and just ordered new Reflex camera, expect lots of nice pictures 😉
