After nearly 72 hours of DreamHack Winter 2013 it was time to pack our bags again. The Dutch row slowly started to disassemble their gear. Monitors and PC’s put back in their boxes, the flags taken down and mouses, headsets and keyboards disappeared in bags. Goodbye’s were said to old and new Swedish friends and around 7:15 all the Packers started gathering at the Intel Pack4DreamHack bus. An hour of checklists, tetris and getting some quick sleep on the bus before leaving were the things we kept ourselves busy with. Around 8:30 everyone was packed and Barry started driving away from the Elmia Halls in Jönköping.

Most of the Packers tried to get some sleep the first hours of the trip, since most of us choose to stay away that last night. While arriving at the first boat from Sweden to Denmark most started to wake up to a sunny, and very windy, boattrip. Packers got out on the deck and had some fun wind the very hard wind that was blowing. 20 minutes later we got to Denmark and the trip continued onwards to Germany.

After a quick stop at a Denmark gasstation (apparently our bus also needs gas sometimes ;)) Barry took us to Rodby where, after a 30 minute wait, we boarded the next and last boat for the day. Puttgarden was reached not 45 minutes later and the next leg of the trip back home started. Most of the Packers couldn’t sleep anymore and memories about the trip, from WildStylez to the performance of Darude, were the talk of the day. Around 19:00 our dear Barry had to leave and our next busdriver, Kees, joined us to drive us for the last 700 kilometres home.

Around 21:30 we arrived back in Holland and the first Packers left the bus to get back to their homes, and two more stops later (~23:30 in Utrecht and ~1:15 in Eindhoven) the trip was over. The trip home was one of the fastest onces yet. Goodbye’s and hugs were had and it was finally over. Intel Pack4DreamHack Winter 2013 had ended and everyone arrived home safely.
