One more week…

More and more excitement in the offices of Intel Pack4DreamHack! Only another seven days of waiting (and some hard work for us ;)) left until we can leave the rainyness of our little ‘frog-country’ the Netherlands behind us. Goodies are being sent in, and yes, they are very nice again.

In 165 hours we will start our voyage to the Elmia Halls in Jönköping, Sweden. Before we are there however we have quite the trip to go. First we have to pick up our 80 Packers in Eindhoven (Son), Nieuwegein and Oldenzaal and by the time everyone is sitting comfortable in our doubledecker it’ll be dark already. And we won’t see daylight again until we eventually arrive at our destination.

The trip continues after Oldenzaal through Germany. Near Hamburg we will stop to switch out our busdriver. The first one will be tired by then and our dear friend Barry will take over the steering wheel. After the switch the Intel Pack4DreamHack bus hits the road again. We’ll leave Germany around 1 AM and have a nice boattrip from Puttgarden to Rødby, Denmark. Around 2 AM we’ll set foot in Denmark to continue on towards Kopenhagen. We’ll drive by this beautiful city and into the tunnel and bridge combination that make up the Oresundbridge.

“Välkommen till Sverige”, a sign says, and the last leg of our trip starts. We’ll pass Malmo and drive on all through the night to eventually arrive at the gates of DreamHack around 8 AM in the morning. At that point the trip will have taken 18 hours out of ours lives on to our next great experience.

Only 164 hours and 50 minutes left…

    Good afternoon,
I have not heard anything about which destination we are being picked up at yet. Is there a pickup somewhere around Utrecht Centraal? (3 of us live in Maarssen which is nearby).

    Regards,
    Steve
