The clock strikes 12 as we hear a rumbling sound from the distance. Some of the Packers are outside of the local burger joint and look in to the direction of the sound. Slowly it gets apparant that these are sounds from a motor. A big white bus emerges in sight and relief can be seen on all the Packers faces. ‘Intel Pack4dreamHack’ is written on the side of this double decker, followed by the logo’s of Alternate, Logitech G and of course Duh-Events. For some it’s a new sight. For others a familiar one, one good enough to make everyone smile. It’s time to Pack for DreamHack.
As we load the bus with the gear of the first 40 something gamers (Eindhoven is the most popular pick-up spot) everyone is very excited for the coming weekend. Names are being checked, people are getting seated in the bus and soon we’ll leave Eindhoven behind to go on to Utrecht.
